Building energy use
Crookston students, faculty, and staff are making behavioral changes that reduce energy use on campus. The goal is 10 percent to15 percent! Collectively, they will receive a share of the money the campus saves.
The savings are based on actual kilowatt-hours of electricity used this year (green bar) compared to the same day last year (red bar). We account for changes in conditions such as the newly added building space at Evergreen Hall and weather differences to compare electric use from year to year.
To find energy use for one of the nine buildings individually metered for the challenge, click the building name on the left. We installed meters in these buildings in March 2010 so you won't see comparisons to the previous year until March 2011.
