Otter Tail Power Company selected Rothsay, Minnesota, for its Community Energy Challenge to reduce energy consumption in the community by as much as 15 percent by 2015. Residents and students are working together with Otter Tail Power Company employees to find ways to reduce energy use. The company plans to monitor energy savings for five years. During this process, residents expect to develop energy-efficiency habits that will help save money on their energy bills and model efficiency for communities across the country.
